Paul Hamon, aged about four or five, stands in the lounge room of Nana Shirley and Papa Allan Drogemuller’s house in Croydon Park, Adelaide, in 1977. He holds a cassette or small object in one hand and clutches his Humphrey B. Bear soft toy under the other arm. The bear was a cherished comfort toy that was eventually loved to death and decay. Patterned wallpaper and a brick fireplace or shelf unit are visible in the background. Photograph by Howard Hamon. The original is a black-and-white print; the restored version has been colourised, cleaned and upscaled with generative AI.
